  • How does UV C light work?
    • The UV C radiation damages the DNA and RNA in bacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms by direct irradiation. Bacteria, viruses, fungi and microorganisms die or lose their reproductive capacity. As a result, both surfaces and air can be 99.9% sanitized.
  • Where can I use my UV C lamp?
    • The UV C lamp is suitable for indoor applications and for rooms up to 400ft², including clinical settings, households, classrooms, office buildings, hotel rooms, meeting spaces, and conference rooms. The sterilization lamp is particularly suitable for household kitchens, home office space, bathrooms, laundry rooms and other space susceptible to the presence of pathogens.
  • Does my UV C product produce ozone?
    • No. RedHawk Medical Products does not distribute any ozone producing UV C products.
  • How long can the UV C product be used?
    • UV Sterilization Light
      • The lifespan of the bulb in the UV Sterilization Light is 5,000 hours.
    • UV Sterilization Light Plus
      • The lifespan of the bulb in the UV Sterilization Light Plus is 8,000 hours.

      • The lifespan of the bulb in the UV Wand is ≈10,000 hours.

      • The lifespan of the bulb in the UV Wand is ≈20,000 hours.
